Facilitated in 2005, this annual conference on General Equilibrium brings together participants from across the United States and abroad, as well as policy institutions, such as the Federal Reserve and the Office of Financial Research. GE Conference founder and organizer John Geanakoplos was an inventor of collateral general equilibrium and the leverage cycle. The conference explores a wide range of themes, showcasing the relevance of General Equilibrium for other fields, including macroeconomics, financial economics, international economics, and environmental economics.
