Jonas Lieber is a Cowles Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Cowles Foundation and the Center for Algorithms, Data and Market Design at Yale University and will join Imperial College London as an Assistant Professor in 2024.
With research interests in Econometrics and Industrial Organization, his main research focus is the estimation of demand. He develops high-dimensional and non-parametric methods for demand estimation, often using finite-sample inference methods. He is also interested in pricing and learning.
He obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2023. He holds a BSc and MSc in Mathematics and a BSc in Economics from Humboldt University of Berlin and an M2 in Modeling and Mathematical Methods in Economics and Finance from University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
