Yale Federal Statistical Research Data Center Presentation May 20th
The Cowles Foundation, in partnership with the Yale School of Management, is proud to sponsor an information session about the Yale Federal Statistical Research Data Center (YFSRDC) on May 20 from 10:30-11:30 am at Yale School of Management, room 4200. YFSRDC is is a branch of the New York Research Data Center which is a Federal Statistical Research Data Center. Federal Statistical Research Data Centers are partnerships between federal statistical agencies and leading research institutions, and are secure facilities providing authorized access to restricted-use microdata for statistical purposes only.
The guest speaker will be Shirley H. Liu, Economist and Administrator for the New York Federal Statistical Research Data Centers, Baruch Center for Economic Studies, U.S. Census Bureau.
Liu will give an overview of the YRDC and the Census Bureau partners. She will also discuss available nonpublic data and datasets, as well as, the proposal and access criteria in using the Census Bureau data. The presentation is geared toward faculty and graduate students, but is open to the wider Yale community.
YRDC opened in June 2015 and is located at 37 Hillhouse Avenue. The center is led by Dr. Peter Schott, Executive Director, Professor of Economics at the Yale School of Management, and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, and Stephanie Bailey, RDC Administrator and Survey Statistician.
